Jake Cater
Hello! My name's Jake Cater and I am a professional graphic designer based in Door County, Wisconsin. Ever since I was young, I wanted to make things and figure how to make them. How to customize creative solutions to small problems I had. How can I make this more purposeful, more logical, more useful, and more beautiful. So, now I'm taking my skillsets and providing them as services!

My creativity and attention to detail with any project is unmatched. My work speaks for itself and now I want to help with your next design project. I want to design and make things custom to your needs and vision. From a logo to a custom LED back-lit sign, the possibilities are endless.

UW-Stout opened many doors as I sharpened my skillsets in a polytechnic university setting. I walked away with a lot of experience along with a degree in Technology Education and a focus in Graphic Media and Print Management.

Today, I am constantly furthering my education and staying relevant with graphics technology. While I work part-time to complete my M.F.A in Design through UW-Stout, I will be concentrating on topics of graphic and industrial design.

For two and a half years, I taught Graphic Design and Photography to high school students. I spent a majority of that time re-building the graphics program there. My daily schedule was teaching, building relationships, graphics technology R&D, and continuous learning.

During my time taking classes, teaching, and working on my masters degree, my college friend and I began a clothing brand based out of Door County, WI, called Door Born. During this time I've done work consisting of website design, product mockups, clothing design, product development, brand management, and design research, to name just a few.
