MY DESIGN STYLE JOURNEY
HOPE YOU ENJOY
A GRANDMAS
INFLUENCE
I was taught how to create from nothing in order to make both unique and better things. My grandmother taught me the ins and outs of everything arts and crafts.

Halloween costumes are of low quality and pricy sotogether, we would make my own!

HIGH SCHOOL TECH. ED.& STUDIO ART
I quickly found a liking to creating personal projects the way I wanted to and couldn't get enough of it.

I got hands-on experience creating furniture in the woodshop, graphic designs in the computer lab, and making business cards with lithography printing.
KNOWING THE NUANCES
Without knowing it at the time, I was learning how to take a design and make it work for various printing projects. This helped me as a designer because knowing where your design is going is extremely improtant. I learned the foundations of digital art, raster vs vector.

A FORMAL EDUCATION
The University of Wisonsin - Stout opened my eyes to graphic communications as I worked on my Education degree in Technology.

I sharpened my design skillsets by adding a minor in Graphic Media & Print Management.

I pushed my creative efforts both in the technology and printing labs. I learned the importance of utilizing leading industry design tools like Adobe Illustrator and the Pantone Color Matching System.

TEACHING IT HELPS YOU LEARN IT
TEACHING
HIGH SCHOOL
I spent researching, developing curriculum, and building a graphics program at Sheboygan North High School. I taught a project-based curriculum along with leading design industry software, Adobe. Topics included vinyl, typography, t-shirt decoration, can labels, branding, and large format printing, among others. It was extremely difficult leaving the kids, the community that I was becoming a part of, and all that I had built.
CREATIVE FREEDOM
I was not only able to create curriculum and build my graphics program with a great deal of freedom, but I also had many opportunities to design and make a variety of projects for the school. I created a project-based learning environment that allowed students to see their designs come to life!

A DESIGN CONTEST WORTHWHILE
During my time teaching, I decided to take on UW-Stout's seasonal greetings card contest in 2023 and was lucky enough to take the winning spot. I had a fun time creating it and yes, I spent way too much time on it.

FROM ONE BUSINESS TO ANOTHER
During college I co-founded a lifestyle brand based out of Door County WI with my friend. We named it Door Born. During this 5 year period I was with the company we spent self-teaching ourselves how to build a brand and run a business.
After my departure, I began my new company. I currently service a vast array of creative needs to my community including large format printing, clothing decoration, signage, and general graphic design needs.
